You get the feeling Mr. Negative's going to end up destroying Aunt May's marriage?
He's made Aunt May into Evil Aunt May, and I'm getting the feeling Jameson Sr. is starting to wonder if she isn't the kind woman he thought she was when they got hitched. He was as surprised and appalled as Peter was when she tore into him. Then she gave her relatives (and Harry) the boot out of a house she's not even living in. The recap pages keep telling us she's treating the people at the shelter so badly they'd rather go back to the streets. On and on. I'm actually surprised she didn't bite Jay's head off when he mentioned he was the one who found her relatives so they could reconnect.
It's only a matter of time before he does something that does draw her ire, and depending on what it is, that might be the breaking point. I could see Jay, worried that money really does change people, and thus reasoning that it's his fault May's changed, getting rid of his fortune, and then May tearing into him when he tells her. Heck, if he does that, Evil May might divorce him.
Which would be too bad. One would hope Mr. Li (Mr. Negative's alter ego) would at least feel bad about causing it. If Aunt May has to be alive, and she can't know Peter's Spider-Man, I'd rather she was at least in a happy marriage, so we don't have as much of Peter worrying about his lonely Aunt May. Plus, the idea of Peter and Jonah being in-laws now is funny.
