I Might Actually Go To The Movies For This Film

I confess I haven't gotten into the whole "Liam Neeson as an action hero" thing. I mean, I keeping meaning to watch Taken, or the one where he's trying to keep a group of people alive in the wilderness. Though I heard there was much less wolf-punching in that one that it appeared, and I can't decide if that's a good or bad thing.

I am interested in this new one, Run All Night, mostly because they picked Ed Harris to star opposite Neeson, so at least he has a good foil. I almost always root for Ed Harris, even though he's sure to lose here. He's up against Liam Neeson, and he's threatening to kill the character's loved ones, so he's doomed. The way the commercials lay things out, if Harris merely demanded Neeson die as payback for killing Harris' son (who was about to kill Neeson's at the time), Neeson's character might accept that. Which wouldn't be much of an action movie, lead character calmly accepts being executed. Unless the story is his family then trying to save his life, or take revenge themselves.

I can't go see this because I can't stop giggling through the ads for it.

All the posturing and threatening and its all delivered in dual monotone...

You're definitely not wrong about the commercials. The odds are I won't go, just because I go to so few movies anyway, but there's still a higher chance than with most movies.
