The Drains Must Be Hell To Clean

Quick thought today. Who sheds more at the X-Mansion/Reservation, Wolverine or Beast?

Or is it Archangel's feathers (I really miss those metal wings. They were so kewl)?

Nightcrawler's furry isn't he? If he is, it's thinner fur, probably smaller hairs, which is harder to get out of the carpet.

I wonder if that rock guy in the current New X-Men book sheds rocks sometimes? That wouldn't be too bad, just need a broom and dustpan. Or maybe a shovel.

As the person who cleans the bathrooms at our house, you conjure up an ugly picture.

I think that Nightcrawler's fur has been described as being velvety, which seems rather pleasant.

But my guess would be Beast. Probably sheds by the clumpful in the spring. Bleh.

Wolverine is just a hairy dude, but Beast actually has fur. Beast would definitely shed more.

That said, when it comes to clogging the drains, both Beast and Nightcrawler seem to have relatively short fur- Beast is occasionally drawn with longer tufts, but his hair looks to be about the same length as a cat's- and so I don't think that either of them would be a problem in that regard. Wolverine would be worse simply because he has longer hair, but the person who would clog the drains most would be whoever has the longest hair. Short hair goes down the drain, long hair gets stuck. I had to use coed bathrooms in college, and my senior year saw me as the only guy on a floor full of long-haired gals. The drains were not pretty, believe me.

So going through the X-rosters, the worst drain-cloggers would be...

Astonishing - Kitty
Uncanny - Warpath or Polaris
" " - Rogue, Lady Mastermind, or Sabertooth
New - X-23
Factor - Siryn, Monet
Ultimate - Kitty

And that's with the more modern, shorter haircuts. Given how the hair was drawn in the 90s, it's a miracle the school's plumbing worked at all.

Can you tell I'm procrastinating?

I once lived with a guy who was probably about one-half as hairy as Wolverine. And let me tell you, I was going through bottles of liquid plumber every other week. With the amount he shed, I was amazed that he had any hair left on him at all. It was astounding.

Therefore, I vote for Wolverine on a day-to-day basis, and for Beast in the springtime.

sallyp: A vote for Dr. McCoy it is.

pro-crastinator: I just figured you were giving it more thought than I did? That's not procrastination, it's just being thorough

the dane: And now, I think we've reached the point where I'm sorry I asked.
